Plogue is proud to announce the release of its new and free sample player that is highly SFZ 2.0 compliant. Advanced musicians and hobbyists now have a free and powerful tool to experiment and share instruments without relying on a proprietary format.
sforzando has only one slot, no fancy UI, effects or mixers. So everything needs to be done at the SFZ text file level, no cheating. sforzando is also a name given for a sudden change in music dynamics which is represented by the “sfz” symbol.
The SFZ Format is widely accepted as THE open standard to define musical instrument from a bare set of sound recordings. Being a royalty-free format, any developer can create, use and distribute SFZ files and players for either free or commercial purposes.
So when looking for flexibility and portability, SFZ is the obvious option. That’s why its the default instrument file format used in the ARIA Engine.
System Compatibility
ARIA is fully compatible with 32bits and 64bits architectures on PC.
It can be used as a standalone application or as a VST or RTAS plugin.

Just purchased Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 and installed the legit Aria Engine. All instruments save properly. I subbed in the cracked engine and the instruments start disappearing as previously described.
I can confirm, this engine crack is NOT ready for prime-time.

Aira. It appears that R2R fucked up with this updated crack and possibly version 1.6.2.6 as well. I am having the same problem with the ensembles not loading after save and close. However I found a downgraded version 1.6.0.0(also cracked by R2R) and it appears to work fine and has no loading problem. For anyone wanting this engine, please find and use v1.6.0.0. This one is faulty.

I also had a lot of trouble with this version of the engine. This and Garritan ARIA Player v1.504 worked fine with World Instruments but not well with Instant Orchestra. It would come up with offset errors and said on most of the presets that it couldn't find the samples. It seemed to be looking in the wrong places. I ended up finding a copy of Plogue.ARIA.Engine.v1.6.0.0-R2R.rar on filestube and now it works great.
